How to add, edit and remove printers from SendSuite Xpress and Ascent
Learn how to add, edit and remove printers from SendSuite Xpress and Ascent.

Add a printer
Note: Ensure that the printer is installed on the computer and appears in the Windows Devices and Printers Control Panel before attempting to add it to SendSuite® Xpress or Ascent™. If the printer does not appear in Devices and Printers, contact your IT department to ensure that your printer is properly installed.
- Open Xpress Processing or Ascent Processing:
- For Xpress Procssing: Select Start > All Programs > Xpress > Xpress Processing.
- For Ascent Procssing: Select Start > All Programs > Ascent > Ascent Processing.
- If prompted to sign in, use pbrep as the username, leave the password blank, and select OK.
- Select Setup > Peripherals.
- Select Printer Setup.
- Select Add.
- Fill in the Printer Code and Printer Name.
- Select the corresponding Printer type:
- Thermal for label printers
- Laser for report printers
- For label printers only, select the corresponding Thermal Type from the drop-down menu.
- Under Print Via, select the printer driver. (The drivers that appear are from the Devices and Printers area of the computer).
- Ensure that the Raw Print Mode (bypass print driver) box is checked.
- Select OK.
- Assign the new printer to SendSuite Xpress or Ascent.
Edit an existing printer
- Open Xpress Procssing or Ascent Processing:
- For Xpress Procssing: Select Start > All Programs > Xpress > Xpress Processing.
- For Ascent Procssing: Select Start > All Programs > Ascent > Ascent Processing.
- If prompted to sign in, use pbrep as the username, leave the password blank, and select OK.
- Select Setup > Peripherals.
- Take note of Manifest/Report Printer or Address Label code that you would like to edit for the carrier.
- Select the Printer Setup button.
- Select the List button.
- Select the label or report printer code you noted in step 4 and select the OK button.
- Select the Edit button.
- Make changes as needed. If the USB port has changed, select the corrected driver under Print Via.
- Select the OK button.
Remove a printer
- Open Xpress Processing or Ascent Processing.
- For Xpress Processing: Select Start > All Programs > Xpress > Xpress Processing.
- For Ascent Processing: Select Start > All Programs > Ascent > Ascent Processing.
- If prompted to sign in, use pbrep as the username, leave the password blank, and select OK.
- Select Setup > Peripherals > Printer Setup.
- Select List and select the printer to be removed.
- Select the OK button.
- Select the DEL button at the top.
- Select the Yes button to confirm removal.
