Before you begin
Ensure your new meter has arrived before continuing with the steps below. You can return your old meter after you receive your new meter. The new meter will include a UPS shipping label and packing instructions so you can easily return it.
- Withdraw unused postage back to the original funding source
- Install the new meter
- Return the old meter
Withdraw unused postage back to the original funding source
- Unused postage is credited back to the original funding source. Funds cannot be transferred between meters.
- After withdrawing postage funds from your old meter, you can download them to your new meter. Visit Unused postage refunds for more information.
To withdraw unused postage, select your model from the meter list below.
- Removing funds from the mailstation series
- Withdrawing funds from your DM100i-DM225
- Removing your funds from the DM300C-DM475
- Returning your SendPro C Lite, SendPro C, SendPro+
- Removing funds from Connect+ series and SendPro P
Install the new meter
- Instructions to install your new meter are included in the box when your new meter arrives. Installation guides can also be viewed online.

Return the old meter
When your new meter arrives, you will find a return kit in the box, the kit includes a UPS shipping label and packing instructions.
- You can drop off the meter at a UPS Store or return it as part of a regularly scheduled UPS pickup.
- If you call UPS to schedule a special pickup, UPS will assess a charge that Pitney Bowes will not cover.
