Receiving packages using Quick Receive in the PitneyTrack mobile app

You can use the PitneyTrack mobile app on a Tracking Assistant to receive packages into PitneyTrack Inbound and PitneyTrack Enterprise using the Quick Receive feature to save time.

You can use the Quick Receive feature in the PitneyTrack mobile app to save time when receiving packages using a Tracking Assistant.

The Quick Receive screen is a simplified screen that shows only Carrier, Recipient, Sender, & Tracking Number, enabling you to receive multiple packages for the same recipient without entering a lot of data. Note however that when using Quick Receive, recipient names in 2D barcodes are ignored, and the following fields are not available:

  • Arrived Damaged
  • Comments
  • Locker reservations
  • Custom fields
  • Photos
  1. Sign in to the PitneyTrack mobile app.
  2. If prompted, select your Location.
  3. Tap Quick Receive.
  4. (PitneyTrack Enterprise only) Tap Manifest and then select the desired file if you imported the expected packages .csv file. Proceed to step 9.
  5. Tap the Recipient field and select the recipient. If the recipient is not in the system, see Adding a Recipient or Sender contact.
  6. Use one of the following methods to enter the tracking number:
    • Tap the scan icon and align the box over the barcode. The barcode is scanned automatically.
    • Tap in the field and type the tracking number.
    • Tap the + next to the Tracking Number field to generate a tracking number.
  7. If the carrier is not already filled in from the scan, tap the Carrier field and select the carrier.
  8. Tap the Sender field and select the sender. If the sender is not in the system, see Adding a Recipient or Sender contact.
  9. Repeat to scan the next package.
    Note: After the first scan, the carrier and recipient are remembered for the next package. If you need to scan a barcode from a different carrier, click the x next to the carrier to clear the field before scanning the other carrier's barcode.
  10. (Optional) To view the packages in the current quick receive operation, tap the # Packages Scanned at the bottom of the screen. You can remove packages from this screen if needed.
  11. Click Done.

Adding a Recipient or Sender contact

  1. Enter the first and last name separated by a space.
  2. Tap the Add icon.
  3. Add as Recipient will already be selected. If you want to add the person as a sender instead, select Add as Sender.
  4. Complete the remaining fields.
  5. Tap Submit.

Editing a Recipient or Sender contact (PitneyTrack Enterprise only)

  1. Select the pencil icon to edit a contact.

  2. Make the necessary changes and tap Save Contact to confirm.
