Importing manual transaction data in ShipAccel
You can add multiple manual transactions to PitneyAnalytics by importing a CSV file with the transaction data.

Use manual transactions to import transaction data from products that aren't supported directly by ShipAccel. This helps you keep track of all the mailing and shipping expenses withinShipAccel, make all the transactions accountable in the system, and charge back the respective cost center.
You can add multiple manual transactions to ShipAccel by importing a CSV file with the transaction data.
- Click the Analytics drop down menu.
- Click Accounting > Manual Transactions.
- Click the Add Manual transaction drop down menu and select Import.
- Enter your manual transaction data in a CSV file.
- If you have previously imported manual transaction data, you can export the data and use the resulting CSV as a template for importing new transactions.
- If you have previously imported manual transaction data, download the Reference Data file and the CSV template from the Import Chargebacks dialog box. Refer to Reference data and CSV template for importing transactions for details about these files.
- Enter your manual transactions into the CSV template, using the Reference Data file to validate the enterprise data values.
- When you are ready to upload your transactions, click Browse in the Import Chargebacks dialog box.
- Navigate to your CSV file and select it.
- Once the file is uploaded, click Import Chargebacks. This action imports the file and generates a unique Job ID.
- Copy the Job ID.
- Click the Add Manual transaction drop down menu and select Job Status.
- Enter the copied Job ID to check the status of your import.
- When the status (1) shows “Completed,” check for the number of failed records (2).
- If you find there are failed records, click the download icon (3) to export the error report.
- Open the report and check the error messages for missing or invalid values in any of these fields. These fields are case sensitive and should match the characters as seen in ShipAccel. Refer to the Reference Data file for the correct values.

- When you have corrected your CSV, import it again.
