Turning off sleep mode on a Brother QL-1100, QL-1110NWB, or 1E44 printer in ShipAccel
By default the Brother QL-1100, QL-1110NWB, and 1E44 printers turn off after 60 minutes of non-use and must be turned back on manually. You can disable this feature.

By default the Brother QL-1100 printer goes into sleep mode after 60 minutes of non-use. The same is true for the QL-1110NWB if not using a wireless or Bluetooth connection. Printing while the printer is asleep does not automatically wake it up. It must be turned back on manually with the power button. To disable this feature:
Windows
- Go to support.brother.com.
- Select Downloads.
- Enter the model number of the printer, QL-1100 or QL-1110NWB, and select Search.
- Choose your operating system, then select OK.
- Select Printer Setting Tool under Utilities.
- Select Agree to the EULA and Download. The file will be downloaded to your computer's Downloads folder.
- Go to your Downloads folder and open the file you just downloaded.
- When the installer says Installation complete, select Finish.
- Go to Windows Start > All Programs > Brother > Printer Setting Tool.
- Select Device Settings.
- From the Auto Power On menu, choose On.
- From the Auto Power Off(AC/DC) menu, choose None.
- Select Apply.
- Select Exit.
- Select Exit again.
Mac
- Go to support.brother.com.
- Select Downloads.
- Enter the model number of the printer, QL-1100 or QL-1110NWB, and select Search.
- Choose your operating system, then select OK.
- Select Printer Setting Tool under Utilities.
- Select Agree to the EULA and Download. The file will be downloaded to your computer's Downloads folder.
- Go to your Downloads folder and open the file you just downloaded.
- Open Brother PrinterSettingTool.pkg.
- Select Continue.
- Select Continue again.
- Select Agree.
- Select Install.
- The installer may ask for your Mac system login and password.
- When the installation is complete, select Close.
- Go to Go > Applications > Brother > Printer Setting Tool.
- From the Auto Power on menu, choose Enable.
- From the Auto Power Off(AC/DC) menu, choose None.
- Select Apply Settings to the Printer.
- Select Exit.
