Adding an asset on the PitneyTrack mobile app

You can add assets using the PitneyTrack mobile app to track their assignment, location, and movement.

You can add assets using the PitneyTrack mobile app to track their assignment, location, and movement.

The features and options you see may vary depending upon your role and subscription. If you have any questions regarding your permissions, please contact your administrator.

  1. Sign in to the PitneyTrack mobile app.
  2. If prompted, select your Location.
  3. Select Asset. If you are already in the Receiving section of the app:
    1. Select the More icon in the lower right.
    2. Select Manage Asset.
    Note: You cannot do this if the device has no internet connection.
  4. Select Add Asset.
  5. Scan the asset barcode, enter the Asset ID manually, or click + to generate a unique asset ID.
  6. (Optional) Enter a Description for the asset. You can also scan a barcode into this field.
  7. Select the Status of the asset.
  8. Select the Event.
  9. (Optional) Enter any Comments. You can also scan a barcode into this field.
  10. The location defaults to your site. To change it or select a more specific location, tap Location.
  11. To add photos:
    1. Tap Attach in the upper right.
    2. Select the option for how you want to add the photo.
    3.  If you select Take Photo, aim the camera at the package, then tap the camera icon to capture the image.
      • To add more photos (limit 5), aim the camera and tap the camera icon again.
      • To delete a photo, tap it, press and hold to select it, tap the trash can icon.
    4. Once all photos have been taken, tap Done.
  12. Under Assigned To, tap Recipient to select who the asset is assigned to.
  13. Complete any custom fields as instructed by your administrator.
  14. (Optional) Tap Get Signature to add a signature.
  15. Select Save.
