Updating your PitneyShip Cube firmware using the PitneyShip mobile app
If you need to update the firmware for the PitneyShip Cube, you can do so using the PitneyShip mobile app.

If you need to update the firmware for the PitneyShip Cube, you can do so using the PitneyShip mobile app.
- Open the PitneyShip mobile app.
- Ensure that the PitneyShip Cube is powered on and connected to your phone or tablet.
- If an update is available, the app will prompt you to download the latest firmware version. Tap Update to download and wait for it to complete.
- The PitneyShip mobile app will now update your PitneyShip Cube firmware. This could take several minutes to complete. Do not close the app or turn off the PitneyShip Cube while this update is in progress. During this update, the PitneyShip Cube LED will flash orange.
- When the update is complete, the LED light will return to white and a Pitney Bowes Printer and Scale Configuration label will print. A confirmation pop-up will appear. Tap Yes if the LED returns to white and the configuration label is printed out.
- Tap No if the label did not print or the LED did not return to white. A pop-up will appear stating the update failed. Tap OK to acknowledge the failed update. Close out of the PitneyShip mobile app, wait for a few minutes, and re-launch the app. Follow the steps to retry the update.
- Tap Done.
- To verify the firmware update, tap More > About Device. Check the firmware version from the configuration label matches the firmware version displayed on the About Device screen.
