Creating a Certified Mail shipping label in the PitneyShip mobile app

You can use the PitneyShip mobile app to create a Certified Mail shipping label and print it directly from your phone.

You can use the PitneyShip mobile app to create a Certified Mail shipping label and print it directly from your phone.

  1. From the Home screen, tap Ship.
  2. Select your Package Type.
  3. (Optional) To use a preset, select Choose Preset.
  4. If you need to change the sender (from) address, tap the Sender address and select the desired address from the address book.
  5. Enter the recipient address, or select an address from the address book.
  6. To send tracking and delivery emails to the sender or recipient, select the desired boxes under Email the tracking number. Enter the email(s) in the Shipment Delivery Email field.
  7. Tap Continue.
  8. Select the Service you wish to use.
  9. Tap Add Extra Services.
  10. Select Certified Mail.
  11. (Optional) Select Return Receipt.
  12. If you selected Return Receipt, enter the Return Receipt Number. This should be the tracking ID found on form 3811.
    Important: For Return Receipt, you must attach USPS Form 3800 for Certified Mail and USPS Form 3811.
  13. Tap Apply.
  14. Tap Print.
