Exporting contacts in PitneyShip, PitneyShip Pro, PitneyShip Enterprise, PitneyTrack Asset, PitneyTrack Inbound, PitneyAnalytics, and the Locker Management Module

You can export contacts from the address book in CSV format.

You can export contacts from the address book in CSV format. If you have PitneyShip Enterprise, system administrators can also export the private contacts of other users.

Exporting shared (public) contacts

  1. Select Settings > Address Book.
  2. Select Export > Export Public Contacts or Export Manual Contacts.
  3. Select the type of contacts you wish to export.
  4. Select Export.
  5. Follow your web browser's prompts to save the file. (The exact steps will vary depending on your browser settings.)

Exporting contacts automatically on a schedule

Administrators of enterprises can export a ZIP file of contacts from the system automatically on a fixed schedule to an SFTP server.

  1. Select Settings > Address Book.
  2. Select Export > Export Automatic Contacts.
  3. Under User Template and Folder Access, enter the Folder Path and SFTP Server URL.
  4. Select the Authentication Option you wish to use.
    • If you selected Password, enter the SFTP Username and Password.
    • If you selected SSH Keys (PEM Format), enter the Username, then select Choose File and upload your SSH Key file in PEM format.
  5. Select the Test Access button to test the connection.
  6. Select Notifications.
  7. Enter the email address(es) you want to be notified if the import fails.
  8. Select Schedule.
  9. Select the Days and Time you wish the import to occur.
  10. Select Save Configuration.
  11. From the Select Contact Type menu, choose which contacts you wish to export.
  12. Select Export.

Select the Automatic Export List tab to view your saved configurations and the history of your scheduled exports.

Exporting private contacts (PitneyShip Enterprise only)

If you have PitneyShip Enterprise, system administrators can also export the private contacts of other users. This can be useful when employees leave the organization.

  1. Select Settings > Address Book.
  2. Select Export > Export Private Contacts or Export Manual Contacts.
  3. Enter the email address or employee ID of the user whose contacts you wish to export and click the search icon. The system will show how many private contacts that user has.

  4. Select Export All.
  5. Select the type of contacts you wish to export.
  6. Select Export.
  7. Follow your web browser's prompts to save the file. (The exact steps will vary depending on your browser settings.) Note that it may take some time before the file is downloaded.
