Managing custom package types in PitneyShip, PitneyShip Pro, PitneyShip Enterprise, or ShipAccel

You can create custom package types to save certain dimensions and weight combinations. These types can be used later to save time when printing shipping labels with the same dimensions and weight.

You can create custom package types to save certain dimensions and weight combinations. These types can be used later to save time when printing shipping labels with the same dimensions and weight. These package types are listed on the Type menu when creating shipping labels.

Adding a Custom Package Type

  1. Select Settings > My Packaging.
  2. Select +Add Package.
  3. Enter a name for the package type in the Package Name field. There is a limit of 20 characters.
  4. If you want to include the carrier, select it from the Select Carrier menu (if available).
  5. Enter the dimensions and weight.
  6. To make this package type visible only to you (not shared), select Private.
  7. Select Save and Close or Save and Add Another.

Editing a Custom Package Type

You can edit a custom package type if you need to change its settings.

  1. Select Settings > My Packaging.
  2. Select the edit icon next to the package type you wish to update.

  3. Make the necessary changes.
  4. Select Save and Close.

Deleting a Custom Package Type

You can delete a custom package type if you no longer need it.

  1. Select Settings > My Packaging.
  2. Select the delete icon next to the package type you wish to delete.

  3. Select Yes to confirm.

Using Custom Package Types

Your custom package types are listed on the Packaging Type menu along with the standard package types when creating shipping labels.
