Creating a ship request in PitneyShip, PitneyShip Pro, or PitneyShip Enterprise

Ship requests allow you to create a label that you or someone else can print at a later time.

Ship requests allow you to create a label that you or someone else can print at a later time. When shipping with FedEx, UPS, or DHL, you can create a multi-piece ship request to ship up to 40 boxes of different sizes and weights to the same recipient using the same service.

The features and options you see may vary depending upon your role and subscription. If you have any questions regarding your permissions, please contact your administrator.

Single package ship request

  1. On the Shipping Labels tab or the Shipping & Mailing menu at the top, select Create Ship Request.
  2. Complete all of the information for the label as usual.
  3. Select Print Ship Request.
    • To email the ship request instead of printing it, select Email, enter the email address, and select Send Email.
      Important: Emailed labels expire after 3 days.

Multi-piece ship request

  1. On the Shipping Labels tab or the Shipping & Mailing menu at the top, select Create Ship Request.
  2. Enter the recipient address, or select the address book icon to select an address from the address book.
  3. Select Multi-Piece.
  4. Complete all of the information for the label as usual.
  5. To add another package with different weight or dimensions, select the Add icon and enter the package dimensions and weight.

  6. Fill out the packaging details for each additional package.
  7. To add extra services, select the Add Extra Service button and select the desired services. The Package Services tab contains services that apply to individual packages; the Shipment Services tab contains services that apply to the entire shipment.
  8. Under Package Contents, select + Add Package Contents.
    1. Select either All packages have the same contents or Packages have different contents.
    2. Enter a description of the contents in the Package Contents field. if you selected Packages have different contents, select the package on the left, then enter the contents.
    3. Click OK.
  9. Once you have added all the packages for this ship request, select Print Ship Request.

ERR ship request

  1. On the Shipping Labels tab or the Shipping & Mailing menu at the top, select Create ERR Ship Request.
  2. Complete all of the information for the label as usual.
  3. Select Print ERR Ship Request.
