Installing and configuring the HubCapp Peripheral Agent for SendPro Enterprise
HubCapp Peripheral Agent is a program that connects your printers, scales, and other peripherals to SendPro Enterprise.

- Install HubCapp Peripheral Agent and create shortcuts
- Launch and configure HubCapp Peripheral Agent
- Configure printers
- Configure a scale or QubeVu Dimensioner
- Configure documents (optional)
- Configure labels (optional)
- Configure postage meter
Before you begin
- Ensure that all peripherals and printers along with their associated drivers have been installed using the instructions included with the hardware.
- Ensure that the correct folder rights are set:
- Right-click on the C:\Program Files (x86)\HubCapp Peripheral Agent\ folder and select Properties.
- Select the Security tab.
- Select Edit.
- In the Groups or user names section, ensure that both Users and Everyone are present. If not, select Add and add them.
- Click once on Users. In the lower section under Permissions for Users, check the box in the Allow column next to Full Control.
- Click once on Everyone. In the lower section under Permissions for Everyone, check the box in the Allow column next to Full Control.
- Select Apply and then OK to close the window.
- Repeat steps 1-7 for each of the following folders:
- C:\ProgramData\HubCapp Peripheral Agent\
- C:\ProgramData\IsolatedStorage\ (only available if using a meter)
- C:\ProgramData\Pitney Bowes\ (only available if using a meter)
Install HubCapp Peripheral Agent and create shortcuts
- Download and install HubCapp Peripheral Agent.
- (Optional) To have HubCapp Peripheral Agent open when the computer starts, add a shortcut to the Startup folder:
- Open File Explorer and go to the HubCapp Peripheral Agent installation folder. The default path is C:\Program Files (x86)\HubCapp Peripheral Agent.
- Right-click on HubCapp Peripheral Agent.exe and select Send To > Desktop (create shortcut).
- Move or copy the HubCapp Peripheral Agent shortcut you created in the previous step to one of the following Startup folders:
- For all users: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\
- For the current user only: C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\
Launch and configure HubCapp Peripheral Agent
- Double-click on the HubCapp Peripheral Agent desktop icon, or go to Windows > HubCapp Peripheral Agent > HubCapp Peripheral Agent.exe. The HubCapp Peripheral Agent will launch and an “H” icon will be displayed in the system tray (small icons near the clock).
- Right-click on the H icon in the system tray and select Configure, or open a web browser and go to http://localhost:50000/Config.html. We recommend bookmarking this page for easier access later.
- When the Configuration page opens, click the Settings icon (gears in the upper right).
- Fill in the following settings:

NameSpecific name to allow connection to SendPro Enterprise While the Server Name and License Key will be the same across all your users, the machine name is what specifies which HubCapp Peripheral Agent connects with which SendPro Enterprise login. This needs to be unique and not copied across all HubCapp Peripheral Agents installed. Configure
Per UserUsed if multiple users will be signed in to the computer at the same time If multiple users are signed in to the computer at the same time, check this box and each user will be allowed to set up their own settings for HubCapp Peripheral Agent connections. - Save the settings.
- Add the same settings to SendPro Enterprise:
- Open the SendPro Enterprise App that you will use with the HubCapp Peripheral Agent.
- Select Settings in the upper right.
- Add the same settings you added above in step 4.
- Save the settings.
Configure printers
- Select the Printers tab.
- Complete the form as follows:

- Use the Test Print buttons to verify functionality.
Configure a scale or QubeVu Dimensioner
- Select the Scale tab.
- Complete the form as follows:

- Use the Zero and Weigh buttons to verify connectivity.
Configure documents (optional)
The Documents tab allows for sending specific document types to certain printers in the specified quantities. For example, each time a Commercial Invoice is generated, HubCapp may be set up to print a certain number of copies to a different printer than the Laser Document Printer configured in the Printers tab. This is an optional configuration.
- Select the Documents tab.
- Unless instructed otherwise, leave the Image Resize and Margin Settings values at their defaults.
- For each document type to be handled by a specific printer, enter the desired quantity, then select the Specific Printer.
- Select Save.
Configure labels (optional)
The Labels table allows for sending specific label types to certain printers in the specified quantities. For example, each time a Return Label is generated, HubCapp may be set up to print a certain number of copies to a different label printer than the Label Printer Format Printer configured in the Printers tab. This is an optional configuration.
- Select the Labels tab.
- For each label type to be handled by a specific printer, enter the desired quantity, select the Specific Printer from the list box, then select Zebra-ZPL from the Printer Format list box.
- Select Save.
Configure postage meter
- Select the Postal Meter tab.
- Select the Meter Type.
- Under Import, select Choose File to Import.
- Select the meter .XML file to import.
- Meter ID should list the meter.
- Select Save in the upper right.
