Updating USPS postal rates and software on the Connect+ Series and SendPro P

The Connect+, SendPro P-series meters update USPS postal rates and software automatically.

Your machine checks for updates every day at a specific time. For detailed steps, see Setting the time checks for updates.

You can check to see the current rates on your machine. See the Verifying USPS rates loaded page.

The SendPro P software shows a pending rate download as a red exclamation point with a circle around it next to Rates and Updates.

The Connect+ software shows a pending rate download by changing the color of the Rates and Updates icon to yellow.

Follow these steps to check if updates are available to download:

1. From the Home screen, select Rates and Updates. The system checks for updates and additional features. If updates are available, the system begins the download. If no updates are needed, then the message System is up to date appears.
2. After the download is complete the Install updates dialog screen displays. You are prompted to Install updates.
3. A countdown message appears on the Install updates dialog screen beginning at 5:00 minutes. The system will automatically install the update when the countdown reaches 0:00 minutes unless you select Install now or Install later.
4. Select Install now to update your system.

In some cases, after the update has been installed, the machine will shut down and need to be restarted.
