To import a mailing list into ConnectRight™ Mailer:
You can also add to an already established mailing list. If you have only a few addresses to add, you can type the new address into the grid in ConnectRight Mailer. If you have many addresses to add, you can import a file with the additional addresses to your original imported file open in the data grid using the append feature:
- Select Import.
- At Import File to Mail List, make the following selections:
- Next to the File to import field, select Browse, and select the file that contains the addresses you want to import. The following file types are supported by ConnectRight Mailer:
- Dbase III, FoxPro file (.dbf)
- Delimited text file (.txt)
- Fixed Length text file (.txt)
- Excel (.xls, .csv)
- Access (.accdb)
- File type will automatically update to the appropriate file type.
- There is no need to change New mail list name.
- Select Next.
- Next to the File to import field, select Browse, and select the file that contains the addresses you want to import. The following file types are supported by ConnectRight Mailer:
- At Import File Details, if the file has field headers, select File has a header row and select Next.
- At Field Layout and Mapping, ensure the Headers are mapped to the appropriate Field. Once the mapping is set, select Next.
- <do not import> can be selected to ignore columns that you do not want to import.
- Unmapped can be used to use fields in your file that do not map to a Header in ConnectRight Mailer.
- If you will be importing similar files, you can select Save to save the import file definition.
- Select Run. The records from the file should now appear in the grid.

Note: If the appended records have not gone through a move update within the past 95 days, you will want to run the new records through a Move ID .

- The New mail list name is grayed out and cannot be changed. You can change the New mail list name when creating a new import.
- Select Next.
