How to assign a static IP address to a handheld Tracking Assistant used with SendSuite Arrival
Learn how to assign a static IP address to a handheld Tracking Assistant models T741, T742, T743, T745, T746, J594, and T762.

To assign a static IP address on models T741, T742, T743, T745, and T746:
- Obtain the IP address, Subnet mask, and Default Gateway from your IT department.
- At the bottom of the Tracking Assistant screen, select the Tools menu > Exit to OS.
- Select Yes.
- Select the Windows Start button.
- Select Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi.
- Select SMSC9500 from the adapter list.
- Select Use specific IP address.
- Enter the IP address, Subnet mask, and Default Gateway provided by your IT department.
- Select OK to save.
- Select OK to close the Network Adapters window.
- Select the X to close the settings window.
- Select Start > TAPlus.
- Sign in if prompted.
- Sync the Tracking Assistant on the 4-bay cradle.
- Obtain the IP address, Subnet mask, and Default Gateway from your IT department.
- Select Tools > Control Panel > Network and Dial-up Connections.
- Place the Tracking Assistant in a slot on the 4-bay cradle. A connection icon should appear named SMSC9500.
- Hold the stylus down on the SMSC9500 icon until a pop-up menu appears.
- Select Properties from the menu.
- Select Specify an IP address.
- Enter the IP address, Subnet mask, and Default Gateway provided by your IT department.
- Select OK to save.
- Select the X in the top right corner to close the Connections window.
- Select the X again to close the Control Panel window.
- Sync the Tracking Assistant on the 4-bay cradle.
