Scanning Tips

Follow these best practices for the most consistent and accurate OCR results:

  • Printed addresses only
  • 12 pt block font
  • 0.8 or less spacing between lines
  • When scanning, hold the device 6-8 inches from the target address.
  • Operate the OCR in a well-lit environment free of shadows over the target address. Insufficient light can cause the camera to not focus well.
