Setting up your own tablet when using Smart Access Management

Before you begin
The tablet must meet or exceed the minimum specifications:
- Android operating system: v8.1 Oreo
- Display resolution: 1200 x 1920 pixels
- Screen size: 10.5"
- Memory: 3 GB
- Storage: 32 GB
For printing, only the Brother QL-820NWB printer is supported. Important: Ensure that the printer and tablet are paired using Bluetooth.
Download the Pitney Bowes Kiosk app from Google Play
- Use your tablet to visit Google Play.
- Search for the Pitney Bowes Kiosk App.
- Download the app. The app will appear on your tablet.
- Launch the app and the QR code below appears.
Registering the tablet in Smart Access Management
- On your computer, sign in to the Smart Access Management website.
- Select Settings > Product Registration.
- Click Add Product.
- Select the location where the tablet will be used from the menu.
- Add a name for the tablet in the Display Name field.
- Add the serial number of the tablet.
- Click Add.
Pairing the tablet app with Smart Access Management
- On your computer, sign in to the Smart Access Management website.
- Select Settings > Product Registration.
- Click the + icon next to your tablet.
- A QR code appears on your computer. This code lasts five minutes.
- Launch the Kiosk app on the tablet.
- Tap Scan QR code to activate the camera.
- Tap Allow.
- Tap While using the app.
- Tap Allow.
- Scan the QR code from your computer. Registration Complete appears briefly.
- If necessary, review and accept the terms and conditions.
