Release 2018.2 provides enhanced support and management of trust certificates, including third-party certificates. Spectrum™ Technology Platform requires two certificates - one for internode communications (Node certificate) and one for client communication (Client certificate) to supports encryption between nodes and between clients.

In addition to Single Sign On (SSO) through Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS), this release adds support for integration with Ping Identity. This integration simplifies your credentialing process and enables users to access any Spectrum™ Technology Platform Web-based service with a single set of credentials.

The Spectrum™ Technology Platform server now displays a timeout warning message before your online session expires. This control is set by the existing spectrum.security.authentication.session.timeout property in the spectrum-container.properties file.
