Enterprise Geocoding Module
Database memory usage
When using Java 1.8, some countries can produce runtime geocoding exceptions. The solution is
to increase the memory available to the Enterprise Geocoding Module. To do this, adjust
the –Xmx parameter in the java.vmargs file to a larger value. For
example, setting the value of –Xmx to 2048m should be sufficient. The location of the
Enterprise Geocoding Module java.vmargs file is Pitney
Bowes\Spectrum\server\modules\igeocode-global\. In the
java.vmargs file, append this: -Xmx2048m
-Djava.util.Arrays.useLegacyMergeSort=true
