Customizing a Geocoding Configuration

Customizing a geocoding configuration involves modifying the configuration’s properties in the sample JSON files. The JSON files utilize two property types: build time and run time. Build time properties come into play both during data creation and geocoding, and run time properties are applicable only during geocoding.

The following are sets of properties that can be customizable in a dataset's JSON file.

Note: A custom geocoding configuration only applies to a specific dataset. It does not affect the geocoding behavior of other datasets.

To customize a geocoding configuration:

  1. Open the JSON file you want to edit in a text file editor.
  2. Modify the necessary property key values.
  3. Close the file.
