Creating a Profile

You need to create a profile to run the data quality analysis rules. A profile can include data set from any of these sources:
  • Flat files
  • Logical or physical models created using the modeling feature of Metadata Insights
  • Connections configured in Spectrum™ Technology Platform

To create a new profile, perform these steps:

  1. In a web browser, go to:

    http://server:port/metadata-insights

    Where server is the server name or IP address of your Spectrum™ Technology Platform server and port is the HTTP port. By default, the HTTP port is 8080.

  2. Log in using your credentials.
  3. On the Home page, click Profiling.
  4. Click the Add Profile button .
    The Add Profile page is displayed with a horizontal bar showing these three milestones:
    1. Select Source
    2. Configure Profile
    3. Finish
