Upgrading Properties Files

Most properties files are now upgraded automatically, which means you no longer need to back up most modified properties files under server\app\conf prior to upgrade. Modifications to most properties files will be preserved when you upgrade.

The one exception is the properties file used for LDAP settings. If you use LDAP for Spectrum™ Technology Platform authentication, you must back up this file before upgrading:

server\app\conf\spring\security\spectrum-container-ldap.properties

Then, after upgrading, use a text editor to update the properties in this file to match the properties in the copy of the file that you backed up.
