Uninstalling DeviceHub in PitneyShip Pro

It's best to uninstall DeviceHub before installing the new version.
Products affected: PitneyShip™ Pro

DeviceHub may need to be uninstalled and reinstalled to fix some printing and weighing issues in PitneyShip Pro.

The features and options you see may vary depending upon your role and subscription. If you have any questions regarding your permissions, please contact your administrator.

Windows

  1. If DeviceHub is currently running, right-click on the DeviceHub icon in the system tray (small icons near the clock) and select Exit.
  2. Click the Windows Start button and locate DeviceHub.
  3. Right-click on DeviceHub and select Uninstall.

  4. If the Programs and Features window opens, select DeviceHub and select Uninstall/Change.
  5. On the Uninstall DeviceHub screen, click Uninstall.

  6. Once DeviceHub has been uninstalled, click Finish.

  7. Open Windows Explorer and go to C:\ProgramData\.
  8. Delete the PB folder found in this directory (C:\ProgramData\PB\).

Mac

  1. Right-click on the DeviceHub icon in your system tray and select Exit.

  2. Press Shift+Command+A on your keyboard to open the Applications folder.
  3. Right-click on DeviceHub and choose Move to Trash.

  4. Press Shift+Command+C to open the hard disk directory.
  5. Expand the Macintosh HD folder.
  6. Expand the Users folder.
  7. Expand the folder appropriate for your Mac’s Username.
  8. Delete the PB folder.

Alternate method of uninstalling DeviceHub - "Silent Uninstallation" for FedRamp

You can uninstall the DeviceHub through command prompt using administrative rights.

  1. Open a command prompt with administrative privileges.
  2. Navigate to the drive where uninstall file is located: C:\ProgramData\PB\devicehub\DeviceHub_v1
  3. Run the command uninstall.exe /S. Note: There is a space between uninstall.exe and the forward slash.

  4. The DeviceHub shortcut icon will disappear from the desktop.
