How to set or disable the lock code on the mailstation or mailstation2

Learn how to set or disable the lock code on the mailstation or mailstation2.
The lock code prevents unauthorized access to the system after the meter has entered sleep mode, or when your mailstation™ or mailstation2™ is powered up.

Follow these steps to enable a lock code on your meter:
  1. Press Menu
  2. Use the Review buttons to scroll to Change Setup? Press Enter/Yes
  3. Use the Review buttons to scroll to Use Lock Code Setup?
  4. Press Enter/Yes
  5. Meter will prompt Turn On Lock Code (yes/no)?
  6. Press Enter/Yes
  7. Type in a four-digit code and, press Enter/Yes
  8. Re-enter the same code to confirm. A message confirms the choice.
  9. Press Clear/Back and when prompted to stay in setup, press No to return to Main screen

Follow these steps to disable a lock code:
  1. Press Menu
  2. Use the Review buttons to scroll to Change Setup? Press Enter/Yes
  3. Use the Review buttons to scroll to Use Lock Code Setup?
  4. Press Enter/Yes
  5. The meter prompts you to enter the lock code at this point. Enter the four-digit code.
  6. Press Enter/Yes
  7. Use the Review buttons to scroll to: Turn Lock Off and press Enter/Yes
  8. Meter will indicate the lock has been disabled
  9. When prompted to stay in setup, press No to return to Main screen
