Installing the print head on the mailstation series

1. Press Menu
2. Scroll and select Use ink functions?.
3. Press Enter/Yes.
4. Scroll and select Install new print head?.
5. Press Enter/Yes.
6. Open your top cover
7. Press the unlock symbol to open your ink cartridge cover.
8. Remove the ink cartridge and set it aside.
9. Squeeze the latches holding the print head cover in place and lift the print head cover.
   • Important: Do not touch the bottom of the print head.
10. Remove the print head by pulling it out by one of the black tabs. Do not discard.
11. Remove the yellow piece by pulling it to one side. Keep the removed packaging.
12. Place the print head into the machine.
13. Close the print head guard until it clicks.
14. Reinstall the ink cartridge.
15. Close the ink cartridge latch, making sure that it is securely latched and stays down.
16. Close the machine cover.
17. Press Enter/Yes when your meter displays the message INSTALL INK DONE - Press Enter. 
18. Press Enter/Yes when your meter displays the message IMPORTANT - Is ink installed?. 
19. Insert your tape sheet or envelope to print a test pattern:
    • If your test pattern is good, without broken lines or smeared ink, press Enter/Yes.

• If your print test is poor, press No to perform additional maintenance.

20. Package the old print head into the yellow and black protection parts and return to Pitney Bowes.
