Thematic Mapping / Creating a Thematic Map |
To create a Graduated Symbol thematic map, follow the steps given below:
Option | Description |
---|---|
Shape | Select the symbol of your choice from the drop-down list. |
Positive | You can display symbols for positive data values. Click the color box to change the color. |
Show Negative Value | Select to display negative data values on map. |
Negative | You can also display symbols for negative data values. Click the color
box to change the color. Note: This option appears only if you have negative
values in your data.

Diameter | Enter the diameter corresponding to the maximum value of selected column. |
For Value | Displays the maximum value present in the selected column. |
Relative size by | You can choose size by constant, square root or log. |
Once a thematic map is created, you can further edit or delete it from Map Legend. For more information, refer to Editing a Thematic Map and Deleting a Thematic Map.
