Select Annotation Tool

The Select Annotation Tool on the toolbar allows you to select an existing annotation and view or modify its properties. Follow the steps given below to edit annotation properties:

  1. From the toolbar, select the Select Annotation Tool .
  2. Move the mouse over the map. As you move, annotations that can be selected is highlighted in bold outline.
  3. Click on the annotation to select it. The selected annotation will turn orange and the edit properties dialog box appears for selected annotation under the Annotation tab.
    Properties Description
    Annotation Displays name of the selected annotation. For example, circle, point, line, ring etc.

    Measurement Units

    Displays the measurements of selected annotations like area, length and perimeter. You can select various measurement units from the drop-down list. The supported measurement units are Meters, Feet, Yards, Kilometers, Miles, Acres, and Hectares. The default measurement unit will be the configured map unit for all annotations.
    Inner Radius Displays the inner radius of a circle or ring annotation.
    Note: This option is available with a circle or ring annotation only.
    Outer Radius Displays the outer radius of a circle or ring annotation.
    Note: This option is available with a circle or ring annotation only.
    Apply Buffer Enter a buffer value to apply to the selected annotation.
    X Enter the value of x to relocate an existing annotation to a new location.
    Y Enter the value of y to relocate an existing annotation to a new location.

    Longitude-Latitude

    Select to input values for longitude and latitudes in decimal degree.
  4. Click on the Delete icon to delete the selected annotation.
  5. Click on the Apply button to apply changes to annotation properties.
