Appendix C- Supported Projections

This section contains a list of all projections, indicating those that are supported for upload with a Yes, and those not supported with a No.

The list shows the common name for the projection along with the three ways that it is referenced. These are the MapInfo code, the SRID and EPSG codes for that projection, where:

SRID = Spatial Reference System Identifier (a coding standard adopted by Oracle for Databases)
EPSG = European Petroleum Survey Group (a coding standard adopted by the Oil industry but also widely used by the GIS industry)

Caution: Although you can upload data in any of the supported projections, when map images are rendered they are re-projected into whatever projection is used by the base map. For Bing Maps and StreetPro base maps, this is always epsg:3857. For UK customers, it will usually be epsg: 27700.
