In addition to any errors logged to the windows event log, you can generate a trace
of all of the server communications made during an upload. This will create a “
messages.svclog ” file. The svclog file contains details of each SOAP request made
and can be very useful in troubleshooting why an upload fails. To create a svclog
file please:
- Select the Enable logging check box on the login dialog for the
uploader.
- Ensure that the path for the log files is correct. It will place the log file into the
AppData folder in your user profile.
- Perform an upload.
- When finished (either upload has failed or succeeded) close the
uploader.
- Look for the svclog file and send it to Technical Support.
