Settings

  1. Leave Auto Open Model checked to have models open automatically when you access the Canvas. Uncheck this option to have the Canvas open to a blank screen, which you must then run a query to populate.
  2. Change the Open limit if you want a different maximum number of entities that can be loaded into Visualization at one time. The default is 5000. Then click Save and restore model items between sessions to preserve which elements of the model are loaded on the Canvas. This applies when you switch to another model, log out of and back in to Data Hub Visualization, or refresh the application.
  3. Change the Query limit if you want a different maximum number of queries that can be requested of Visualization in one session. The default is 100 and the maximum number you can enter is 1000.
  4. Check Selection fading if you want non-selected entities to fade into the background rather than disappear entirely. Then set the Opacity level of the fading; 1 is no fading at all, and 0 is invisible. The default is .2.
  5. Check Auto zoom to selected items if you want the canvas to zoom to the items selected rather than retain the focus on the entire model.
  6. Select the Layout timeout, in seconds, to specify how long Visualization should wait while a layout is loading before timing out. The default is 10.
  7. Check Normalize centrality measurements (except degree) to use the average length of the shortest path between an entity and all other entities in the model. With normalizing you can compare entities from models of different sizes.
