|Data Access / Supported Data Sources|
A TAB file is a MapInfo spatial data vector format. The most common form is native TAB. Other supported TAB files include native extended TAB, raster and grids, GeoPackage TAB, DBF, linked, and seamless versions of TAB and raster/grid. The common feature among these data sources is that they all have a .TAB file that contains metadata that describes the data source. Each form of TAB has similarities and differences in how it behaves with Spectrum Spatial. For more information, see the topic for the particular form of TAB.
