How do I change the date on my 6500 Series meter?
To change the date:
| 1 |
Lift the dater door to expose the dater assembly. |
| 2 |
The date is changed by moving the plastic setting wheels in the dater unit so that the date to be printed is aligned to the date index on the metal strip between the wheels. |
| 3 |
With the stylus tool supplied with the meter (or a ballpoint pen), rotate the date wheel(s) within the city/state circle downward until the correct date is displayed in the print postion. The 10th, 20th, 30th of the month are set by moving the notched wheel to the right of the month wheel. |
| 4 |
The day units setting wheel is located directly to the left of the metal strip. |
| 5 |
The year is the last digit to the left. Turning the metal printing wheels individually as required can change the year. |
| 6 |
The check date indicator light will automatically extinguish when the dater cover is closed. |
| 7 |
Test using .00 postage. It may take a few prints to get the year inked. |
