What is an Inspection Due or Inspection Required message and what do I do to clear it on DM100i and DM200L?

The USPS regulations require that meters be inspected.  Inspection Due message will appear on your meter if your meter has not connected to the PB Data Center within 90 days.  The “Inspection Due” message will change to “Inspection Required” after 30 days and a connection is mandatory at this point.  Follow the below steps to clear either message:

1. Select Connect now at the prompt Postal Inspection Required.
2. A message displays, stating what is required for inspection. Select Continue.
3. At the Inspection Method screen, select Check PBP balance

INSPECTION METHOD
< Add $xx
<Add another amount
<Check PBP balance

4. Push NO to add postage

PBP Balance
Prepaid              $xxx
Other                  $xxx
Add Postage     (Yes/No)?

Note:  If you just performed a rate or software download follow the next two steps

5. Then select Get update now
6. When complete, Install successful will appear. Press continue
