How Do I Update Postage Rates on My DM Series Meter?
If you have downloaded the new rates, but your meter still shows the old postage rate ($0.42), you may have stored $0.42 in your Normal Preset.
You can easily update your meter to show the correct postage rate by setting your meter's Normal Preset to 1st Class Letter. To accomplish this, select your meter type below.
How will I be billed for my meter, refill charges, and postage on my DM100® or DM200® Digital Mailing System?
You will be billed quarterly for your postage meter rental. When you download postage to your account, the refill fee will also be applied to your quarterly invoice. Your postage will need to be pre-paid separately.
What is a postage meter refill?
Each time you download postage to your postage meter it is called a “refill”. There is a minimal charge for refilling postage. This charge covers the cost Pitney Bowes incurs to maintain your postage account with the United States Postal Service. You can avoid incurring multiple reset fees by downloading enough postage to last you a month or quarter, depending on your business needs.
How do I get the postage I pre-paid for on to my postage meter?
When you ordered your postage meter you were asked for an initial postage deposit. Those funds are available to you and should be downloaded to your postage meter during the set up process. Please refer to the Quick Install Guide included with your meter or on the Welcome Page.
Why doesn't the tape trip from my Dm200 and DM300 meter and N400 scale?
This can happen if you wait too long to press the meter Meter Set/Tape button the second time. As explained in the N400 User Guide, you must press the Meter Set/Tape button to set the meter, then press it again to trip a tape.
How do I pay for postage after my first download on my DM100® or DM200® Digital Mailing System?
